Direct current (DC) power distribution

The AC distribution grid has been a marvelous machine over more than 100 years, driving industrialization and societal progress. But with load growth induced by AI compute and EV adoption at scale in 2024 and beyond, the AC grid is simply not keeping pace. Utility upgrade requests for megawatts of new power take years to fulfill. Wildfires, weather-induced outages, and expensive utility tariffs are making the AC distribution grid less attractive over time.
